What is Evermail?

Evermail is a cloud-based email archive platform that lets you upload, search, and manage email archives from any source. Upload your MBOX, PST, OST, EML, or Google Takeout files and instantly search across all your archived emails with full-text search and AI summaries.

How do I get started?

1. Create a free account at evermail.ai
2. Upload your first email archive (drag and drop or browse)
3. Wait for processing to complete (usually under 5 minutes for archives under 1 GB)
4. Start searching your emails using the search bar

What email formats are supported?

Evermail supports all major email archive formats:

• MBOX. Used by Thunderbird, Apple Mail, and many email clients
• PST/OST. Microsoft Outlook archives
• EML. Individual email files
• Google Takeout. Gmail export archives
• ZIP bundles. ZIP files containing any of the above formats

Is there a file size limit?

Is file size the same as storage usage?

No. The upload limit applies to one original file. Your storage allowance covers indexed messages and attachments across your workspace; compressed archives can expand during import. Starter includes 5 GB total storage, Pro 20 GB, Team 50 GB, and Enterprise 100 GB per user. A 12 GB PST fits Team's file limit, but its indexed content must also fit your remaining storage. File size alone does not validate the archive or guarantee a successful import. Compare current plans.

Does Evermail delete my Free archive after 30 days?

No. Your archive stays stored. Full-text search and new uploads pause after your earliest archive reaches 30 days, once the final warning has given you at least two days to act. Warnings are normally scheduled 10 days and 2 days before the deadline; late warnings or an active trial can postpone the pause. Your account notice shows your date. You can still browse subjects, senders and dates. Email export requires a paid plan. An active paid subscription restores access without re-uploading, within that plan's limits. Search allowances can apply after a Pro trial ends, before the day-30 pause. Requested deletion and paid-account cancellation are separate; see our Privacy Policy.

How does search work?

Evermail uses full-text search across email subjects, bodies, sender names, sender addresses, and recipients. Type any keyword or phrase in the search bar to find matching emails. Use filters to narrow results by date range, sender, or attachment type.

What are AI summaries?

AI summaries (available on Pro and above) use advanced AI to generate concise summaries of email threads and mailboxes, helping you quickly understand the content of large archives without reading every message.

Is my email data secure?

Yes. Evermail uses:

• Encryption at rest. All stored data is encrypted using Azure SQL TDE and Blob Storage SSE
• Encryption in transit. All connections use TLS 1.3
• Tenant isolation. Your data is completely isolated from other users
• GDPR compliance. Full audit logging and data export/deletion capabilities

What are security levels?

Evermail offers three security levels per mailbox:

• Full Service (default). Evermail processes and indexes your emails for full search and AI features.
• Confidential Processing. Content is encrypted at rest under your own key (BYOK), and you can revoke Evermail's access anytime.
• Zero-Access. Client-side encryption; Evermail stores only encrypted data and cannot access your content.

What plans are available?

Evermail has five plans. Plan names, prices, and limits below come straight from the live plan catalog, so they always match what you see in Settings > Plan & billing.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time from Settings. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Do you offer annual pricing?

Yes. Annual plans include 2 months free (pay for 10 months, get 12).
